I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE ALL THINKING!!! Why isn't he holding a teddy bear? It was tempting, I tell you, but I couldn't do it.


Okay, the first of the series for seven deadly sins. My first try at Art Nouveau, I learned some things:
a) I suck at doing backgrounds, so I dropped it halfway through (which is why it looks SO bad and SO PAINFULLY SIMPLE), so Ignore it.
b) Art Nouveau hates me...and I have SIX more of these to go *dies*
c) Celtic knots hate me as well. I am totally not creative at making backgrounds look good.
d) Some people like cheese
e) Never draw in the Childrens Museum in New Mexico if you can help it.

Grrrr...I am REALLY unhappy with how this turned out. The background is worse than I ever thought it could be. I thought it would be bad...but....it looks like a circus thing. Omg, I hate it....grrrrrr.....The background is too messy, busy and COMPLETELY takes away from the central figure which wasn't great in itself. It's too late to erase it, though, so I'm stuck. I guess you can learn from your mistakes, though...*sigh* And there's no other way I'll learn without trying.

I may color this, but if I do, there is a slim chance I'll post it.

Okay, I was thinking of how to illustrate Avarice and keep the concept. I wanted to make him all like "ALL IS MINE!!! BWA HA HA HA!" but I ended up making him look like he's hugging himself. *sigh* oh well.

Gah, the more I look at the background, the more I hate it.

Okay, a little bit about Avarice:
He's not greedy or mean at all truly, it was just...seven deadly sins...okay, never mind.
Age: 129
Hair: Light brown
Eyes: Blue-grey
Wings: Turquoise and Black


Okay, that's enough. I'm really beginning to hate the background to death now....grrr....

ANYONE WHO CAN SPOT THE HIDDEN DEMON GETS A PRIZE!!!! :XD: :hug:

Okay, next up is Envy, I suppose. I will try to do better on her. If you are still able to type after seeing this (your eyes may be burned out), comments are very much appreciated on this.

I should have just left Avarice without a background. *shakes head*

Okay, done with that. One down, six to go....

wow first comment ...(feels the presur) well wonderfull art work the... dont sell yourself shrot on that background celtic nots can be a pain i personaly never got anywere with them ...i supose thats why i am a writer...great work cant wiat to see envy...everyone loves envy

i think thats great. the background isnt bad at all! i mean, atleast you do it. i gave up on backgrounds.
but i love him. just the way he stands, his posture and the way he holds himself, wow.
and i luff his hair.

Aww, thanks...his body just came out that way and I was like...okay then. The background takes a TON away from it, in my opinion, it clashes and looks all weird...but thanks. :hug:

1) It's not the background that looks bad so much as the smudge. The background, actually, looks pretty decent; better than I could ever've done. I'm sure with practice you'll get better. ;) But the smudge sticks out. I'd recommend clone-stamping it out, so you can still have the texture of the paper (which I like, by the way.) Well done!

2) This is just begging to be coloured. I'd try my hand at it, 'cause I'm better at colouring with coloured-pencils than I am on the computer, but I don't think I'd get any sort of lighting down quite right... COLOUR. NOW. =D

But yes, very good, very well drawn indeed. :clap:

My computer tends to lighten pictures tenfold, so I can't really see the smudge that well...hmmm...how do you clone stamp? And thanks...it's....my first try...(is thinking up exuses for backgrounds simplicity and lack of creativity).

I know!! It wants to be colored...but I'm not good at coloring in ANY medium, although I prefer digital. Banak is the one who colors, and fantastically I must say...maybe she will, I don't know. Hee he heee, thanks. And it'd be awesome if you tried!!! I would love that! :hug:
